Description
A ceramic or porcelain doll's head wearing a hat marked "Liberty", painted with a natural colored face, rosy cheeks, brown hair and blue eyes. The hat is outlined in red with a blue plume. Around the neck is a blue collar with three white stars. "Liberty" is engraved and highlighted with gold. One the reverse, faintly, "APD MF. Co.". See also 2002.1.2145 for an unpainted version. With documentation from aquisition, used to promote Liberty Bonds during WWI and foundby son in manufacturer's Bronx loft 1987.
