This wood sample is printed in blue on one side "American Balsa Company, Inc./ 50 East 42nd Street New York, N.Y., U.S.A./ This is a sample of / Encysted Balsa Wood/ (Patented)/ Used in aeroplane construction/ for fuselages, pontoons, streamlining of struts, etc./ One third lighter than cork. The only heat insulation material having structural strength." A company symbol of a leaf with the logo "A.B.C. Inc." decorates the left front.
