Inside the lid is a paper insert printed in black with a man's shoe and a woman's shoe around a rubber overshoe and the words "Hood Rubbers/ They Fit-They Wear_They Sell/ Hood's Rubber Company, Watertown, Mass./ Hood Canvas Footwear-Hood Leisure Canvas Footwear".
