Description
This beige handkerchief is embroidered in one corner with crossed flags. One is an American Flag in red, white and blue with a golden yellow pole and the other is the flag of Cuba and has blue and white stripes with a triangular shaped red field with one white star and a yellow pole. Probably issued between 1898 and 1900 to celebrate the end of the Spanish-American War and the installation of a pro-U.S. government in Cuba.
