Description
A natural beige silk cloth printed with a flag marked "British North Borneo", a red field a Union Jack on the upper left corner and a red rampant lion in a yellow circle in the lower right. British North Borneo existed as a colony and used this flag from 1881 to 1963, when it became part of the independant state of Malaysia and adopted that flag. Printed "Egyptienne Straights Cigarettes" at the bottom edge. One of a series of world flags produced before World War I. Given as collectible premiums by cigarette manufacturers.
