This plaster statuette is the model for Daniel Chester French's memorial to Abraham Lincoln, unveiled outside the statehouse in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1912. It depicts a contemplative Lincoln, with head bowed and hands clasped, poised to deliver the Gettysburg Address.
