Description
Bronze struck medal with obverse depicting Columbus and his crew aboard ship, with sailing ship in distance at left; legend within line border: 'Cristobal Colon descubrio el nuevo Mundo ed doce de Octubre de mil cuatrocientos noventa y dos, reinando en Castilla y Aragon Dona Isabel y Don Fernando." Reverse depicts Columbus presenting his offerings to the King and Queen of Spain; inscription in exergue: "Cuarto centenario/M.DCCC.ICII."
