Description
Bronze struck medal with obverse showing nude bust of Matthew Perry facing left with legend: "COMMODORE M.C. PERRY." Reverse bears inscriptiona at center, surrounded by wreath of oak and laurel, whose crossed branches are encircled by crown of ships' masts and having band labelled "MISSISSIPPI."
