Bronze struck medal with obverse showing nude bust of Daniel Parish facing left; legend: "DANIEL PARISH, JR." Reverse contains inscription at center enclosed by wreath of oak and laurel: "FROM HIS/FELLOW-NUMISMATISTS/IN GRATEFUL RECOGNITION/OF HIS ZEAL FOR AND/DEVOTION TO THE/SCIENCE."; surrounding legend: "ANNO SEXTO PRAESIDENTIAE SOCI. AMERI. NUMIS. ET ARCHAEOL./MDCCCLXXXX." Medal is inset into cardboard box bottom.
