Ornate rectangular gilt metal pin-back bar with striped red, white, and blue ribbon with applied circular button with portrait of McKinley and gold metallic bullion tassel suspended below; inscription in gold: "INAUGURATION/MARCH 4TH,/1897"; superimposed upon longer woven cream silk ribbon with gold metallic braid edging and bullion trim with inscription printed in gold across bottom: "Souvenir"
