Description
Society of Tammany badge commemorating 100th anniversary of American Independence; consists of white gathered silk ribbon rosette with red metallic sequin and silver metallic sequins and bullion floral decoration at center with blue, white, and red streamers attached; white silk satin ribbon printed in blue and red suspended below; depicts seal of Society of Tammany inscribed: "FREEDOM OUR ROCK/COLUMBIAN ORDER"; inscription: "1789./Society of Tammany,/OR COLUMBIAN ORDER./ANNIVERSARY/OF/AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE./JULY 4TH, 1876."; all within stylized ribbon-like frame.
