Description
Three pieces of wood tied with string. According to the accompanying labels they are pieces of the Confederate privateer Rattlesnake (ex-Nashville) that was burned in the Ogeechee River, Georgia, by U.S. gunboats in February, 1863. It was presented to the Naval History Society on January 10, 1930, by Frank Sachs, 172 East 85th Street, New York.
