Inner lid label: "Directions for use./ If you want the "Miraculum" to answer one of/ the questions printed on the small circular cardboards,/ put the latter in the middle of the Miraculum/ making the mark (which you find in each section/ above the question) point exactly at the arrow that is/ to be seen in the outer circle containing the answers./ The hand will then automatically indicate the desired/ answer./ While the play is not in use, the cardboard which/ bears the questions should lie in the middle of the/ pane, in order to preserve the mechanism./ Every month there will appear a new cardboard/ with new questions along with correspondent answers./ Particulars are readily given by the purveyor of/ the play as well as by any toy-merchant."
