Calling all middle school historians! The collections of the New-York Historical Society contain the stories of countless forgotten heroes and heroines, waiting to be discovered. At Camp History: Uncovering Hidden Histories, campers will unearth these untold stories and bring them to light!

In each 5-day session, campers will search our library, newly renovated Luce Center, and other museum collections for fascinating but forgotten historical figures to resurrect. Campers will study a forgotten hero or heroine of their choice and then create something inspired by this person to contribute to a camper-created mini-exhibition. Campers will also go behind the scenes in our museum and library collections, interact with living historians, and meet with museum staff as well as cook, create, and craft to bring the little-known past to life.
