Independence Day Scavenger Hunt
10 am – 6 pm
Hunt high and low in the New-York Historical Society on our scavenger hunt celebrating America’s independence. Families will search for the horse tail from King George’s statue, George Washington’s portrait, and other 4th of July treasures. When finished, enter our raffle for Liberty the Dog!
Hudson River Ramblers “Revolution on the River”
11 am – 4 pm, with performances at 11:30 am, 1:30 and 2:30 pm
Families experience the American Revolution through stories and songs with the interactive and engaging Hudson River Ramblers. Songs will include Yankee Doodle, Tear Down George, and Sybil’s Ride. And throughout the day, join the Ramblers and hear the Declaration of Independence, sparking the crowd to pull down the statue of King George. Heave ho!
Tricorner Hats: Join the Revolution!
11 am – 4 pm
Kids decorate their own tricorner hats and then sign up to join the cause for independence.
