EVENT DETAILS

We know the stories of our Founding Fathers, but what about the Founding Mothers who worked right alongside them to implement the Constitution “on the ground”? Join us for an in-depth tour of our new exhibition Saving Washington. The untold stories of women of the early republic—and in particular First Lady Dolley Madison—come to life through artworks, books, documents, clothing, jewelry, and housewares, as well as immersive interactive digital experiences, on this illuminating exhibition tour led by Valerie Paley.

Valerie Paley is Vice President, Chief Historian, and Dean of Scholarly Programs at New-York Historical and Director of the Museum’s Center for Women’s History

LOCATION

New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park West, New York, NY 10024
