Need inspiration for a DIY Mother’s Day gift? This weekend we are celebrating creative tools from the past now on display in the new North Gallery of our fourth-floor Henry Luce III Center.

On Sunday, meet an 18th-century woodworker! Watch the artifacts on exhibit upstairs come to life in this special interactive display with living historian and antiques restorer Raoul Mallalieu. You’ll discover how various tools were used to reshape wood long ago—all by hand!

Already have plans for the holiday? Visit the Museum on Saturday instead to meet a 19th-century painter!
