Recommended for children ages 4 - 7.

Each week New-York Historical Society educators read one to two engaging picture books around a theme. The themes are related to New York City, American history, current holidays, or new exhibitions.

On December 16th, 239 years ago, a group of people destroyed over 90,000 pounds of tea in protest of the British tax policy and monopoly on tea. We often learn about the Boston Tea party, but who were the Sons of Liberty? Hear the opinions of different Patriots in Kay Winters’ book Colonial Voices.
