Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of all ages are invited to fulfill a variety of badges and earn a Museum Patch at the New-York Historical Society! Come as a troop or with family and see what's new at New York's oldest museum, founded in 1804. Scout uniforms are encouraged!
Stop by the New-York Historical Society for a December School Vacation Week that’s all about trains! Go on a special “I Spy” scavenger hunt through Holiday Express: Toys and Trains from the Jerni Collection, settle in to listen to a classic train story, and make a train-themed craft to take home!
All aboard! Holiday Express: Toys and Trains from the Jerni Collection is sure to delight and enchant kids of all ages — as well as kids at heart! Bring the whole family to explore this magical holiday exhibition. While you’re here, don’t forget to journey on our special train scavenger hunt, create a train-inspired craft, listen to train tales, and move, giggle, and laugh out loud with Conductor Abe!
Anyone may purchase advance tickets at the Member price of $10 per person. Tickets sold at the door are $12 per person (still $10 for Members).
Time travel to our old-fashioned family fete for centuries of spooky fun! We're hosting a Gilded Age costume-ball-turned-family-friendly affair. (Historic Halloween costumes not required but always welcome.)
