Monday, July 20th, 2020 | 1:00 pm

Show us what a feminist looks like! Download and use this activity packet to explore New-York Historical’s exhibit Women March and be inspired by Vashti Harrison’s celebrated book Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History. While you complete this activity packet you will:

  • Explore the power of collective action both before and after the historic 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment, which granted some women the right to vote
  • Discover the stories of powerful Black women who shaped American history
  • Research and learn about Black women in history to create entries of your own to “add” to Vashti Harrison’s celebrated book Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History
  • Receive additional hands-on and research-based project prompts which can be completed on your own or get the whole family involved!

Download the Activity Packet
