Honor the legacy of American statesman and civil rights leader John Lewis by reading book one of the March trilogy, Lewis’s groundbreaking graphic memoir with co-author Andrew Aydin. Follow the story of Lewis’s youth in rural Alabama, his first meeting with Martin Luther King Jr., and the birth of the Nashville Student Movement all told from Lewis’s perspective.
