Sunday Story Time: Planting Stories: The Life of Librarian and Storyteller Pura Belpré
Sunday, September 22nd, 2019 | 11:30 am

Free with Museum Admission
Ages 3-7

Join us for Sunday Story Time as we learn about the wonderful storyteller, puppeteer and New York librarian, Pura Belpré!  In the book Planting Stories we will read how Pura became the first Puerto Rican librarian in New York City and the first person to incorporate bilingual programs and activities in libraries.  Since she shared and planted stories with so many people, we will craft flowers to share with someone we love.

Planting Stories: The Life of Librarian and Storyteller Pura Belpré is written by Anika Aldamuy Denise and illustrated by Paola Escobar.
