Maroon silk velvet knee length coat with pink silk pointed lapels; sixteen metal buttons from the waist to the knee with gold cord button holes; vertical slash pockets at the hips decorated with seven lines of gold cord and twenty-one metal buttons on each side (three buttons for each row of cord), lined with pink silk; long sleeves slashed open on the inside from the elbow to wrist, interior sleeve of gold needlepoint guipures lace with a diamond and scroll design; outer sleeve decorated with metallic bows above the opening and nine metal buttons and gold cord button holes along the opening of each; coat lined with pink silk; slit up the back of coat to the waist decorated with fifteen buttons and gold cord lines on each side; each side gathered and pleated with metal buttons at the small of the back.
