This view was taken from ruins of the Greek Theater. Henry Tuckerman, in his Book of the Artists, p 569, calls attention to two views of the ruined theater of Taormina with Mount Etna in the distance, and two other views of Mount Etna by Hotchkiss which "deserve much praise."
