This board game, owned by Robert R. Livingston, consisted of a large printed map of England with counties identified and a "road" with stopping places designated with numbers corresponding to text descriptions of each locale. A pencil inscription on the reverse of the game reads, "Play not this game or you will have bad luck/Robert R. Livingston/Clermont 1824". In letters to his family while abroad in Europe, Livingston often included detailed descriptions of the places he visited. This board game suggests that he found a way to share his experiences with his family upon his return to Clermont.
