From World Trade Center: Mixed Heights II
Overall: 79 3/4 x 59 in. ( 202.6 x 149.9 cm )
This is a nocturne, executed in an unusual palette of greens & yellows. "Mixed Heights" in this case refers to the different angles and perspectives in the view, done from the 24th floor of one World Trade Center building and the 38th floor of another. The change in location gave Jacquette the 2 different views of Cass Gilbert's West Street Building. At the upper left is the entrance to the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel with flames emanating from its top. The foreground is occupied by the octagonal roof of the Museum of Jewish Heritage, beyond which is a double depiction of a modern high-rise.
