Storytelling
Little New-Yorkers @ Home
Tuesday, March 16 and Friday, March 19 | 3:30 pm ET

Free; ages 3-6

Join us via Zoom every Tuesday and Friday for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special Little New-Yorkers hello song, silly dances and songs, a story book reading, and a craft to do at home. This March, celebrate Women’s History Month. Read The Proudest Blue, written by Ibtihaj Muhammad, Olympic medalist and social justice activist, with S.K. Ali and illustrated by Hatem Aly. Meet two sisters, Asiya and Faizah. It’s the first day of school and the first day of hijab for Asiya. Find out how the children at school respond to Asiya’s special beautiful blue hijab and how Faizah learns to be strong. Afterwards, craft your own picture of the ocean and sky, the colors of Asiya’s hijab.
