Celebrate Valentine's Day with an intimate, romance-centered journey through our permanent collection. On a docent-led tour, explore sentimental, sad, and funny stories of love and marriage, including such legendary couples as George and Martha Washington and Alexander and Eliza Hamilton. Then, join manuscript curator Edward O'Reilly as he reveals highlights from the Library's trove of historic love letters, which evoke the drama and consequences of romance in bygone eras.
