Numerous presidents have tried and failed to broker lasting peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Drawing from extensive interviews with Henry Kissinger, newly available documents from American and Israeli archives, as well as on his own experiences, diplomat and foreign policy scholar Martin Indyk traces the arc of American diplomatic influence in the Middle East and explores Dr. Kissinger’s role in creating the modern Middle East peace process.
Martin Indyk, a distinguished fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and a former U.S. ambassador to Israel, is the author of Master of the Game: Henry Kissinger and the Art of Middle East Diplomacy. Roger Hertog (moderator) is president of the Hertog Foundation and chairman emeritus of the New-York Historical Society.
Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 is required for admission to public programs. Masks are required for all attendees older than age 2.
