Trump, Biden, and the U.S. Supreme Court
Ann and Andrew Tisch Supreme Court Lecture
Akhil Reed Amar, Jeffrey Rosen, Marcia Coyle (moderator)
Thursday, April 15, 2021 | 6 pm ET | $20 (Members, $10; Chairman’s Council, Free)

Presented LIVE on Zoom

During his four years in office President Donald J. Trump appointed three associate justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, effectively reshaping the nation’s highest court for years to come. Experts shed light on some of the Court’s more recent decisions, discuss how the judicial philosophies of its nine sitting justices could impact the cases to come, and forecast how the Biden Administration could impact the judicial branch in its own right.

Akhil Reed Amar, Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science at Yale University and a trustee of the New-York Historical Society, is the author of The Words That Made Us: America's Constitutional Conversation, 1760–1840. Jeffrey Rosen is president and CEO of the National Constitution Center. His most recent book is Conversations with RBG: Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Life, Love, Liberty, and Law. Marcia Coyle (moderator) is chief Washington correspondent for the National Law Journal and the author of The Roberts Court: The Struggle for the Constitution.
