Why Everyone Should Have a Will
Gideon Rothschild, Dena L. Wolf
Thu, May 28th, 2020 | 6:30 pm

This event will be hosted digitally. Click here to register for the webinar via Zoom.

This program is offered by the New-York Historical Society’s Planned Giving Advisory Council and 1804 Fellows.

Some very famous people have died without a will—singer/songwriter Prince in 2016 and Aretha Franklin in 2018. Yet, it's not just famous people who often die without a will. Only 60% of Baby Boomers and 36% of Gen Xers have wills. In an engaging discussion, Trusts and Estates attorneys Gideon Rothschild and Dena Wolf will discuss the many benefits of having a will, even when there are no significant assets.

Gideon Rothschild is chair of Moses & Singer's Trust and Estates and Asset Protection practices and co-chair of New-York Historical Society's Planned Giving Advisory Council. Dena L. Wolf is a member of the Trusts and Estates practice at McDermott, Will & Emery and a member of New-York Historical's Planned Giving Advisory Council.
