Welcome! New-York Historical is open to visitors. To guarantee admission at a specific time, we encourage you to purchase timed-entry tickets now. Walk-up tickets are also available. Due to safety measures, occasionally there may be wait times to enter specific exhibitions. Members do not need to book timed-entry tickets and will be admitted whenever they arrive.
Safe/Haven: Gay Life in 1950s Cherry Grove is a free, outdoor exhibition that takes place in our rear courtyard. (The entrance is next to 5 West 76th St.) To maintain social distancing, book your free, timed-entry tickets on our dedicated Safe/Haven ticketing site. (Walk-up tickets are also available.) You must purchase a separate general admission ticket to enter the Museum building.
Please check the New York State Covid-19 Travel Advisory for updated guidelines.
